Betsy Williams, an Exhibiting Member of the gallery, has invited her daughter Amy Williams McLaren and Erin Hotscher Almazan to show with her. Both Amy and Erin are established artists and teachers of art. Amy teaches drawing and printmaking art the Rochester Institute of Technology and Erin teaches printmaking at the University of Dayton.
Rumblings are defined as deep resonant sounds, an indication of incipient change: a foreboding. The sound of rumbling rhymes with grumbling, tumbling, humbling, fumbling, crumbling and not to be forgotten- bumbling. All are variations that can be experienced any day. Nothing is ever all that it appears to be.
A debut show for two of our newest exhibiting members, Natural Flow features paintings by Danette Matteo and Photographs by Merri Markovich.
The debut shared-solo shows for two of the gallery’s newest members, this show features contrasting approaches to landscape abstraction: the muted, atmospheric work of Emily O’Reilly, and the bold geometric approach of Gabe Morton-Cook.
February’s feature is an installation of murals created by local artists as well as videos featuring mural, graffiti, and African-American artists.
