Originally from Moravia, New York, and currently living in Johnson City, Chelsea Hagin has found expression and comfort through creating from deep emotions and lived experiences that were once taught to remain hidden. An early fascination with history, antiques, and old houses shaped her artistic path, fostering a lasting engagement with mixed media and the stories embedded within objects. Now working primarily in pyrography, Chelsea explores overlooked and discarded materials to confront weight, memory, and expectation—uncovering beauty as well as the things beauty hides, while giving form to heavy, deeply personal experiences.
