Through pyrography and mixed media, Chelsea Hagin reveals the messy path of navigating love, relationships, and sexuality after a childhood she once romanticized was revealed to be shaped by normalized trauma and the shadow of addiction, abuse, and abandonment.

Through memory, vulnerability, humor, desire, and confession, she uses her own stories—and the many characters she has become along the way—to reclaim a sense of autonomy and begin to feel whole after a life of hiding the ugly parts.
