This exhibit illustrates the interdependence of all life with the elements of earth, water, fire and air which has been of ongoing concern, fascination, and inspiration to Clark. She explains her work: “Human beings depend completely on the elements of Nature, yet we are capable of ignoring them at our peril. How often is our reliance part of our conscious awareness? Catastrophic weather has gotten plenty of attention. We have been slow to acknowledge the damage we cause by this lack of appreciation and respect. This exhibit has been a way for me to acknowledge and show gratitude for the beauty and strength of these powerful gifts.”
