Artist’s Statement

My work relates to my own life experiences. I try to express what I love and yearn for as well as the challenges that come up for me. As a twenty-year city dweller, I find myself drawn to nature and the out doors. I cherish my painting trips across the county and in the green enclaves of New York City, where I get my connection to nature. I love to paint outdoors, en plein air, and let the landscape, garden or sea move through me. The result is a connection to nature and place I cannot get any other way. Through my art, I want to share that connection with others and bring beauty and a sense of the spiritual to all who view my work.

I am a member of the New York Artist Circle, the Organization of Independent Artists and the Cooperative Gallery 213.
